The PROGRAM will be a watercolor demonstration given by Scott Ronzio. He lives in Lakewood where he has his studio, retiring from corporate America - he can now spend his time painting. He teaches watercolor painting at the Lakewood Heritage, Culture and Arts department and has judged art shows and offered constructive critiques for artists in the metro area. He belongs to various art leagues/guilds/clubs in the area and, Scott is an award winning painter and his work displayed in standing shows in the area.

Review of last months program was a delightful demo in oil by Peggy McGivern. She was late in arriving but in the long run the demo was well worth the wait.

Workshop: There will be a workshop on Encaustic on February 26 (Saturday) 9:00am - 3:30pm and will be taught by Rachel Neubauer and Joyce Madden. Charge is $20 for DAAG member and $30 for non-members. This will be held at the Glendale Community Center. A supply list (very minimal): newspapers, Kleenex and paper towel - all other materials needed will be furnished by DAAG. If you cannot attend these meetings but want to attend this workshop, just call Joyce at 303-771-2019. Demonstration and samples will given during the workshop and we expect to have a lot of fun and success by everyone.. Remember to include your $20 at signup time.

Our web site is www.daagonline.com is up but still outdated and we are in the process of evaluating its effectiveness.

The nominating committee is assembled and will be asking for volunteers as officers for this coming session - please help. DAAG has prospered these many years as a result of fine and dedicated officers - now it is your turn to offer guidance.

You all have two copies - one is for your records and the other is to accompany your paintings that are juried - fill out completely beforehand!  Be sure to write your name at the two (2) locations on this form. Channel 6 (TV) is having their annual auction and once again Sally Moore is handling our DAAG entries. If you are interested in donating a painting to this auction, the painting (or paintings) must be brought to our February meeting (this is needed so that these donations can be picked up at that time) - we need at least eight (8).  Each painting must be at valued at $75 or more. The auction is set for April 23 and 24, with a reception in April (date in will be in the March newsletter).

You need to get your updated resumÈs (forms are available) and photos of at least three (3) of your artwork to Rachel Neubauer and if you have something for the Historian book you can bring that along. Our History book is wonderful and if you havenít taken a look thru it, please do.

REFRESHMENTS for this February meeting will be furnished by Ann Hanscom and Carmen Freeman.  For March only Joyce Poland has volunteered - we need one more. The refreshment list sign up sheet for the 2005 remaining year will be passed around. If you have any questions, you can contact  Sally Moore at 303-698-2003.

Deadline for the March newsletter will be March 1, 2005.

The next Board Meeting will be February 23rd at Eleanor Hargroveís.

Shhhhhhhhh

Out of courtesy for our demonstrators/speakers, please refrain from talking during the program. You have plenty of time to converse with your friends at the break, before and after the meeting.

Please keep the meeting room clean as you found it - also it would be helpful if you would put your chair back in its original position when you leave.
