The PROGRAM will be a watercolor demonstration by Nancy Wylie. Nancy is known in the area for her fantastic pastel and watercolor paintings. She has some of her paintings in local galleries and has been featured in the magazine Southwest Art.
Review of last months program: Was a wonderful pastel floral demonstration with Terrie Lombardi. She used turpentine to wash in a wonderful background using pastel dust. She talked during her demonstration informing the audience about everything she was doing. She picks out (from her huge collection) all the colors she will use for her painting and puts them aside to be used for her painting. The rest of her pastels are then put away. She starts out with the hard pastels (NuPastel) and roughs in the picture for her painting. She then goes on and uses various brands to finish it up. She recommends the Wallis sanded paper that is available at most stores in this area - either full sheets or pads. She was very good with a lot of enthusiasm.
The nominating committee, Ann Hanscom, Rosemary Weiler and Marion Wright did a wonderful job in recruiting volunteers for next year and once again you all came through.

Out of courtesy for our demonstrators/speakers, please refrain from talking during the program. You have plenty of time to converse with your friends at the break, before and after the meeting.
Please keep the meeting room clean as you found it - also it would be helpful if you would put your chair back in its original position when you leave.
